Assistant Event Managerconference

1.    Purpose:

  • To assist the Events and Marketing Manager in organising events (conferences, forum) and promotional activity and provide general administrative support to KBCC

2.    Tasks and responsibilities:

  • To support the activity of the Events and Marketing Manager
  • Assist with sourcing and booking venues
  • Registering delegates both online and via post
  • Composing correspondence both on behalf of the Events team and senior staff
  • Confirmation and liaison with speakers- agenda creation- Liaison with governmental agencies and private companies
  • Resolving any invoicing queries and ensuring all delegates receive an exemplary level of customer service at all times
  • Liaising with hosts and guest speakers to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible and everyone is fully briefed
  • Conducting post-event evaluations
  • Updating the organisation’s website, according to events
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing emails for the team and senior staff
  • Organising travel on behalf of the Events Managers as well as providing full diary management when necessary
  • Organise meetings for KBCC’s staff

3.    Personal Specifications:

  • The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced, pressurised environment within a small team
  • You will have to be creative and initiative and meet  strict deadlines
  • You will have an excellent grasp of the English, Russian and Kazakh languages both written and spoken
