The official launch of the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce took place on June 17, 2009 at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel. The opening reception was hosted in partnership with Adam Smith Conferences on the first day of the Kazakh Growth Forum, one of the Europe’s largest and most prestigious international forums on Kazakhstan.
The launch was opened by the welcome speech of the Deputy Head of Kazakhstan Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Dauren Toleukhanov. Mr. Toleukhanov kindly delivered the formal address of KBCC’s Honorary Patron, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Karim Massimov, who could not attend the event but sent his congratulations and wishes of successful future for the KBCC (please click here to view full text of Prime Mininster’s address). Mr. Toleukhanov’s speech was followed by the welcome address from our Founding Patron, H.E. Kairat Abusseitov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UK.
The official opening part was concluded by the welcome remarks from the President of the KBCC, Dr Roza Kashkenbayeva, and Mr Artur Krivov, Managing Director, who took the floor to express their sincere thanks to the Honorary Patrons for their support and to all the guests for finding the time to share an important moment in the development of the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce.
