“Spain and Qatar offer Kazakhstan to form a food security union,” former Spanish Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Qatar Food Program Counselor Angel Moratinos told after the meeting with Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov.

“Along with Qatar we suggest Kazakhstan to establish a new food security alliance, and we hope that Kazakhstan will take part in it. Kazakhstan may contribute greatly to the agricultural structure of the union,” he added.

“The new union will be of great importance for the countries with arid climate and desert regions, for example, Kazakhstan, Persian Gulf countries, North Africa, Mexico. The negotiations will be held with the said countries,” he noted.
