Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting in Astana on Monday with members of the International Advisory Board, the press office of the head of state has said in a statement.
The meeting was attended by former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, former Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer and former President of the European Commission, former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, according to the statement issued on Monday.
During the meeting, the main aspects of further implementation of Kazakhstan’s economic potential and the process of implementation of Kazakhstan’s international initiatives as well as preparations for the exhibition EXPO -2017 were discussed.
In addition, there was an exchange of views on the international agenda , including the situation in Ukraine, according to the statement.
Nazarbayev stressed the importance of holding regular meetings with members of the Board to address current issues that are of interest to Kazakhstan, including on the international agenda.
