Kazakhstan, Russia signed cooperation agreement in energy, customs control and military-technical spheres

Almaty. September 11. Kazakhstan Today – Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation signed intergovernmental cooperation agreements in the field of energy and military-technical spheres. The ceremony of signing of the documents took place during the forum of inter-regional cooperation in the presence of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

According to ITAR-TASS, the Ministers of Energy of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, Sergey Shmatko and Sauat Mynbayev, signed the intergovernmental agreement on construction and operation of the third block of the Ekibastuz state district power station-2.

Director of Federal Agency for Military and Technical Cooperation of Russia, Michael Dmitriev, and the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev, signed the intergovernmental agreement on development and realization of the programs of joined work in the field of military-technical cooperation in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.

The chairman of Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Andrey Belyaninov, and the chairman of Committee of Customs Control of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, Kozy-Korpesh Karbuzov, signed the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of realization of joint control on the Russian-Kazakhstan border.
