Alternative Energy Sources Were Suggested During V Astana Economic Forum

May 27, 2012

“Future Energy” session was held during V Astana Economic Forum. The main idea was to raise a discussion of the alternative energy sources.

“Future Energy” is the theme proposed by Kazakhstan to host the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana http://www.expo2017astana.com.

Despite the fact that Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources such as oil and gas, the traditional energy sources depletion and introduction of the renewables are also on the agenda of local scientists and government.

As stated by Aidar Kazybayev, Chairman of the Trade Committee, Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

“A dedicated session on the future energy at Astana Economic Forum is the important space for open and fruitful dialogue on development of the alternative energy in Kazakhstan. Sustainable use and alternative energy, despite rich natural resources, is included inthe priorities of our country. The potential of Kazakhstan in renewable wind, solar energy is very high.

The theme will allow a build-up of dialogue between Kazakh and international scientists on energy conservation and introduction of alternative energy sources such as solar, wind, marine, ocean and geothermal waters. The EXPO 2017 site is to be built with zero emissions and will be functioning fully on the renewables.

Being a sociably responsible country Kazakhstan proposes to be aplatform for the global energy issues. This will allow all counties to demonstrate the alternative energy innovations and developments at International Exhibition EXPO by 2017 in Astana.

Kazakhstan is ready to present innovative projects that are of both scientific and practical values. EXPO 2017 will allow reinforcing the scientific efforts towards alternative energy solutions.

The theme of EXPO-2017, “Future Energy” is an attempt to look into the future of technology in the energy sector, to draw attention of the international community to the global problem of energy resources depletion.

As said by one of the speakers Jose Cordeiro, (MBA, PhD), California, USA “Future Energy” is a fantastic theme for EXPO 2017, the program which should also include such futuristic concepts of energy, like Internet on clean energy, “Enernet”, and regulated supply of energy, “Energularity”. New sources of energy should be seriously considered..The time comes for completely new types of energy such as “Enernet” or “EnergyInternet”, so that eventually we will reach the performance of the concept of “Energularity” or “Energy singularity”.
