The 3rd Mining and Exploration Forum and Expo “MINEX Central Asia 2012” was held on 17-19 April 2012 in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum aims to unlock immense mineral potential of Kazakhstan and Central Asian region and enhance professional dialogue in technical, regulatory, education and investment aspects of mining and mineral exploration.
The forum is designed for:
- Local and international mining and mineral exploration companies interested in sharing their success story with investors, media and peers;
- Local governmental agencies and authorities wishing to promote new business ventures and present forthcoming changes or initiatives;
- International companies and Financial organisations offering expertise and technologies to the local mineral exploration, mining and metallurgical enterprises;
- Investors seeking to expand their presence in Kazakhstan and Central Asia;
- Local managers and executives interested in enriching their working knowledge in the current mining management practices and solutions.
Over 450 delegates from the local and international companies took part in the forum. 35 leading mining, consulting and engineering companies presented new projects and cutting edge technologies at the trade exhibition organised alongside the forum. Over the two days of main forum and pre-forum master classes, more than 70 speakers presented on the latest developments and forthcoming changes in the mining regulation in Central Asia, mining finance and investment, mining and mineral exploration projects as well as new technologies becoming available to miners in Central Asia.
According to preliminary feedback obtained from the participants, the forum has become a powerful incentive for the multilateral exchange of information and better understanding of the on-going changes in the mining industry of the Central Asian region opening new opportunities to international investors and business partners.

The 4th Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum “MINEX Central Asia” is scheduled to take place in Astana on 16-18 April 2013.

The second mining and exploration forum “MINEX Central Asia 2011″ was held on 5 – 7 April 2011 at the Radisson Conference Center in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Forum became the largest international mining event in Central Asia and brought together top managers from mining, exploration and metallurgical industries from Kazakhstan and Central Asia as well as international investors, financiers, consultants and state regulators.
The forum’s organising Committee is managed by the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce and the UK based “Advantix” Business Communications Agency.
The International Mining & Exploration Forum “MINEX Central Asia 2010”

Mining partnership and the international MINEX forum (from English Mining and Exploration) were established in Russia in 2005 by a group of Russian and International mining engineers and consultant. MINEX events are organised with the purpose of stimulating knowledge exchange on efficient use of natural resources, and the use of advanced technologies and efficient business management models.
