President Nursultan Nazarbayev has commented on the decision to appoint Kairat Kelimbetov as the chairman of the National Bank. “He is 45 years old, he is a graduate of Moscow State University and Georgetown University. He served as Minister of Economy and Budget Planning and later – Deputy Prime Minister, held talks on the functioning of the Customs Union and the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union. I believe that his knowledge of the country’s economic and financial situation will have a positive impact on the work of the National Bank,” the President said. The President of Kazakhstan said that the decision will benefit the development of our country and stressed that the policy of the National Bank will not be changed.
