“Minex Central Asia” Mining and Exploration.

Organised for the first time in Kazakhstan, Minex Central Asia forum has become the largest and most authoritative business event for Mining and Metals sector in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Over 400 senior executives from 15 countries took part in the forum this year. The forum was widely covered by 35 leading national and international media and TV broadcasts.
His Excellency Mr Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan inaugurated the forum on 17 March with a keynote address “Kazakhstan Mining – challenges for growth, modernisation and investment”. Over 60 senior mining executives, investors, mining consultants and government officials presented at the forum.

Business Links Strengthened With Launch of KBCC

The Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce (KBCC) has been officially launched with the aim of creating an environment through which individual businessmen, corporations and SMEs with business interests in Kazakhstan and the UK, or those which are looking to enter those markets, can network and benefit from the collective power of the members as well as tap into the considerable resources that KBCC can provide.

Help with Exports

Edinburgh companies are being given additional help exploring the Kazakhstan export market. Helping to spearhead the move is Artur Krivov, the Managing Director of the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce and one of its founders.

Our Opening Presentation

The official launch of the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce took place on June 17, 2009 at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel. The opening reception was hosted in partnership with Adam Smith Conferences on the first day of the Kazakh Growth Forum, one of the Europe’s largest and most prestigious international forums on Kazakhstan.
