    Who we are?

    “Bringing together the entrepreneurial insight and energy of businesses from Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom”
    Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce (“KBCC”) is a primary bilateral business association created with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in London and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    KBCC’s main objective is to help UK and Kazakh members of the Chamber to establish new and develop existing business relationships with a particular focus on promotion and development of exporting capabilities of SME companies in both countries.

  • “Minex Central Asia” Mining and Exploration.

    Organised for the first time in Kazakhstan, Minex Central Asia forum has become the largest and most authoritative business event for Mining and Metals sector in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Over 400 senior executives from 15 countries took part in the forum this year. The forum was widely covered by 35 leading national and international media and TV broadcasts.
    His Excellency Mr Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan inaugurated the forum on 17 March with a keynote address “Kazakhstan Mining – challenges for growth, modernisation and investment”. Over 60 senior mining executives, investors, mining consultants and government officials presented at the forum.

    Kazakhstan Enters Top Fifty World Economies For Doing Business, Continues March Up World Bank`s Rankings

    Kazakhstan’s business climate has improved dramatically in 2011, climbing 11 places in the World Bank’s Doing Business rankings to enter the top 50 world economies for the first time.
    The World Bank’s Doing Business Report 2012, released today, showed that Kazakhstan has moved up 11 places to 47, with strong progress in protecting investors and paying taxes. The success continues a steady trend for Kazakhstan, the world’s fastest reformer in last year’s rankings, when it rose 15 places to 58.

    Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus Agree On Economic Union

    Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan have agreed to create a body regulating their trade and economies that could eventually become a Eurasian economic union. The presidents of the three former Soviet republics — which have recently set up a common customs union that allows a free movement of labor and goods between the countries — signed a declaration in the Kremlin targeting a full “Eurasian economic union” by 2015. Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev, Belarus’s Alyaksandr Lukashenka, and Nursultan Nazarbaev of Kazakhstan also signed an accord on the creation of a super-national executive body to oversee tighter economic integration.

The latest evidence was its hosting of the Seventh World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana this month, where President Nursultan Nazarbayev offered proposals for Muslim nations to modernize and progress.     The second Mining and Exploration Forum and Expo “MINEX Central Asia – 2011″

    The second mining and exploration forum “MINEX Central Asia 2011″ was held on 5 – 7 April 2011 at the Radisson Conference Center in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Forum became the largest international mining event in Central Asia and brought together top managers from mining, exploration and metallurgical industries from Kazakhstan and Central Asia as well as international investors, financiers, consultants and state regulators.

    The forum’s organising Committee is managed by the Kazakh-British Chamber of Commerce and the UK based “Advantix” Business Communications Agency.
